Project Safe & Sound (PS&S) was created in 2025 by Ashley Gibbs, with a mission to create warm and welcoming safe spaces. Our primary spaces include foster visitation rooms, police station interview rooms and addiction recovery homes. Victims of abuse are already living their worst nightmare, having to be interviewed in a police station and hoping to be heard is hard enough. Blank walls, cold empty rooms meant for criminals can add to your uncertainty or make you feel like you are in the wrong. PS&S volunteers spend a full day creating what is known as a Soft Interview Room. Imagine being a child, taken from your home and placed in foster care. When you finally get to see your parents again, it is in a setting that can feel far from normal. PS&S wants to change that.
Through donations alone, we repaint, decorate and make your office space feel more like home. PS&S doesn't stop at new furniture and art on the walls; it also provides soft blankets, fidget toys, sound machines, soft lighting, and other items to help comfort those who use these rooms.
Whether you're coming forward to report a tragedy, seeing your family for a few hours, or recovering from addiction, PS&S is here to empower YOU. With your donations we can create spaces that help start the healing process, one safe space at a time.
